Mehringer’s Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioning emerged at the hands of Basil Mehringer in Dubois County in the year 1964. “Bas”, as he was known, ran the infant company by himself until he and his son, Dennis “Bucket” Mehringer formed a partnership in 1972. With youth and experience on their side, they worked together successfully until 1977, when they decided they needed some help. This was the year they hired their first employee. From that year forward, they have grown into the industry leader they are today.

Starting out specializing in plumbing, heating, and cooling in the early years, they were serving the community proudly. This quality and service in the industry led to a natural growth into areas that their services were needed. It wasn’t long before Mehringers’ was making its own ductwork, buying a crane to set rooftop units, and taking care of sprinkler lines, welding, and dust collection.
